LeapSwitch's Fully Managed Service

1. Operating System Installation

We will install the OS which you select while ordering the Server.

2. Control Panel Installation

We will install the Control Panel which you select while ordering the Server. If None is selected, Control Panel won't be installed and the VPS will be treated as Un-Managed. Management will be provided on a best-effort basis unless a supported Control panel is installed. View supported Control panels here.

3. Apache , MySQL , PHP installation and configuration.

Apache, MySQL and PHP will be installed and configured for usage on your dedicated server.

Apache httpd modules will be installed on request. Apache httpd will be optimized on request. Apache web server will be monitored for downtime. We will troubleshoot and fix any issues with the Apache web server and get it back up and running.

phpMyAdmin will be installed by default. MySQL will be tuned for optimal performance on request. MySQL problems will be troubleshooted and fixed by our technicians. Client's databases will not be managed by our technicians.

PHP will be installed and configured, but client's PHP scripts are their own responsibility. Technicians will not debug client's PHP files or help with coding.

4. Updates

Updates will be performed once a month by our technicians and whenever critical security updates are available. More frequent updates can be done on request. Some updates may cause downtimes. Please provide a URL to check while requesting an update/upgrade. Most control panels update automatically.

5. Firewall

We install CSF by default on our servers. We will help with Brute force attacks and mitigate DOS attacks if possible (Large DOS attacks cannot be mitigated using software firewalls and we may be required to Null Route your Server IP till the DOS attack is stopped, if it is causing network issues.)

6. Security Check

You can request a Security Checkup once a month, where we make sure everything is up to date, clear out /tmp, scan for Rootkits among other things. A complete list of our security checkup is provided after it has been performed on your server.

7. Optimization

Optimization of the server and installed services will be performed on request. Our technicians will go through logs and monitor your sever for some time and make changes or recommend upgrades. Changes made will be notified in the ticket.

8. Transfers

We can transfer your websites if you are using one of our supported control panels. We will guide you through the process in case of a different control panel.

8. Other services

Anything other than above mentioned services are provided on a best-effort basis. We have very helpful technicians who will hold your hand and guide you. But we require clients not to take advantage of this. We will not add domains for you, nor will we upload files or edit them. The above is a list of things we will do, other than that we will only guide you through the process.
